How we handle your information.
What this site collects, what it does not, and the one thing that is logged automatically. Last updated 3 September 2026.
The short version
The quote form does not send anything to this website. It writes your details into a text message and opens your own messaging app with it ready — you press send, and it goes from your phone to ours the same way any text does. Nothing you type is transmitted to this site or stored on it. There is no analytics script, no advertising pixel, no cookie banner and no third-party tracker on any page.
One thing is collected, and it is worth stating plainly rather than burying: the web server keeps a standard access log of every request, which includes your IP address. That is how the site is kept running and defended against abuse, and it is the same on nearly every website you visit.
What we collect
Information you give us
Nothing, through this website. What you type into the quote form stays in your browser until you choose to send it, and then it travels as an ordinary text message from your phone to ours — it does not pass through this site at any point, so there is nothing here to store. Once you send it, that message sits in our phone like any other text, and we use it only to get back to you about the job.
Information collected automatically
The web server keeps standard access logs. Every request to this site records the following, and nothing beyond it:
- Your IP address — the network address your request came from
- A timestamp — the date and time of the request
- The page requested — which URL was asked for, and the response code
- Your browser's user agent — the browser and operating system it reports
What we do not collect
No cookies are set by this site. No account exists to create. No payment information is taken anywhere on this website, and no analytics or advertising service is loaded on any page.
If you text us from the form
The message the form writes contains only what is needed to call you back about a job: your name, your phone number, the kind of work, and whatever you typed in the description. You can read it and edit it in your own messaging app before you send it, and you can decide not to send it at all.
Once it arrives, it is a text message on our phone like any other, kept with your number so we can reply and do the job. It is used to contact you about your enquiry and for nothing else — not sold, not rented, not passed to a marketing company.
Text messages travel over your mobile network, not over this website. Your carrier handles them under its own terms, and standard message rates apply.
If you call instead
Calling (442) 242-0762 is a phone call like any other. Your number will appear on our phone, and we keep enough of a note to do the job and invoice it. We do not add callers to a mailing list.
Fonts and files
The typefaces on this site are served from the same server as the site itself, not from a font network. That is a deliberate choice: it means no request is made to a third party on your behalf simply because you loaded a page here.
Photographs and icons are likewise served from this site. No content is embedded from an external host.
Reviews on Yelp
This site links out to our Yelp listing. If you follow that link you are on Yelp's website, under Yelp's privacy policy, not ours. We do not embed Yelp's tracking on these pages.
Asking us about your information
If you want to know what we hold about you, or want it deleted, call (442) 242-0762 and ask. Since the website collects nothing today, in practice this means anything you told us on the phone.
Children
This site is not aimed at children. There is no account to create and no login, so there is nothing to sign up for and no password to lose. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
How long anything is kept
The server access logs described above are rotated daily and fourteen days are retained, so a record of your visit stops existing about two weeks after you make it. That is the hosting default and it is stated here because it is checkable rather than because it is generous.
If you text or call us, that message and that number sit on our phone the way any other message does, and where the enquiry becomes a job we keep the records a contractor is required to keep. Ask us to delete anything and we will, except where the law requires us to keep it.
Who anything is shared with
We do not sell personal information and we never have. We do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
There is no email provider, no analytics provider, no advertising network and no customer-relationship system in this picture, because none of them is connected to this site. The only third party in the chain is the company that hosts the server, which sees the access logs described above, and your own mobile carrier if you choose to text us.
We may disclose information where the law requires it — a subpoena, a court order, or a lawful government request — or where it is necessary to protect someone's safety.
Your California privacy rights
The California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the CPRA, gives California residents rights over their personal information. Whether a business of this size is legally covered by it depends on thresholds this business is unlikely to meet, and we are not going to claim otherwise. We will honour these requests regardless:
- Know — what personal information we hold about you and where it came from
- Delete — what we hold, subject to records we are legally required to keep
- Correct — anything you believe is inaccurate
- Opt out — of the sale or sharing of personal information — we do neither, so there is nothing to opt out of
- Limit — the use of sensitive personal information — none is collected
- Not be treated differently — for asking. We will not refuse work, change a price, or give you a lesser service because you exercised any of these
Security
This site is served over HTTPS, and it sends the standard set of browser security headers — a strict transport policy, a content security policy, and headers preventing the page being framed or its content type being guessed at.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure and we are not going to pretend otherwise. What keeps the stakes low here is that there is very little to steal: no accounts, no passwords, no payment details, and no database of enquiries, because the quote form never sends anything to this server in the first place.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it. Material changes — a new category of information, or a new purpose for using it — will be described here rather than made quietly. This page has already been corrected once, when an earlier version claimed the site collected nothing at all and overlooked the server's access log.
